PS5 Regional Setup Guide

To access the best prices and games globally, many users create accounts in different regions. Here is how to do it correctly.

Note: You can have multiple accounts from different countries on one PS5 console. Games downloaded from one account can usually be played on your main account.

Step 1: Choose Your Region

Popular choices for digital shopping:

  • USA Best for sales and English language content.
  • Turkey Often has the most competitive local pricing.
  • Poland/UK Good alternatives for European releases.

Step 2: Create a New PSN Account

  • Go to the official PlayStation website or create a new user directly on your PS5.
  • Use a fresh email address that isn't linked to any other PSN account.
  • Select the Country/Region you desire (e.g., United States). Note: You cannot change this later!
  • Use a valid address from that region (Google Maps is your friend here).

Step 3: Adding Funds

Standard credit cards usually don't work across regions. Use these methods:

  • Digital Gift Cards: Buy codes for the specific region (e.g., a US PSN card for a US account).
  • Regional Payment Services: Use specialized cards for markets like Turkey.

Common Questions

Can I play games from a US account on my UK account?
Yes, as long as the PS5 is set as the "Primary Console" (Console Sharing and Offline Play is enabled) for that US account.

Will I get banned for multiple accounts?
No, Sony allows multiple users on one console for family sharing and travel purposes.
